Nice posts.

I’ve got an Abarth 595 Comp convertible
MX5 mk1
VW camper 1971
Plus the Sprint, all great cars in their own way.

@nigelb Is that Blisterberg in the pic?
That and Zandvort are on my bucket list.

Great to see people’s other cars. I’m in the “multiple Lotus” camp:

  • Exige S1
  • Evora S
  • Evora GT430
  • Esprit S1 (barn find, mid restoration)
  • plus a Sport 110 TT bike

I don’t need a daily driver but we have an Audi Q5 family wagon and VW Up “pool car” my daughters used to learn to drive.

I’m recently retired and keep thinking about another older Lotus (Elan Sprint or Elite Type 14) but can’t justify it until the Esprit is finished. I grew up with hot hatches before my first Lotus (Golf GTI, Pug 205 GTI etc) and I’m tempted by a modern equivalent like a Civic Type R or GR Yaris.

My two. 911 I’ve had since 2010, and the Mini since 2020.

@Jamie-Exige those are both in my dream garage list.

I’ve had 6x mini’s over the years and wish I’d kept the MK1 Cooper and van.

I just added a 172 cup to the fleet. It’s a good retro feel with more modern reliability.

I suspect a mildly tuned GR Yaris would walk away from it mind!

Had quite a few minis over the years too @johnfishcurtis - this one is a keeper. Bit like the Exige, it was a chance conversation with someone that resulted in buying it

Hey Andy - I brought a 172 Cup new back when launched. Absolutely loved it so much fun. A great choice :+1:

Had a 172 Cup back in 2003, was a brilliant fun car, only negative was the seats as I didn’t have the sports seats fitted.

All cups came with the grey trim seats. I think they are fine tbh.

XC60 for family /towing duties, S2 Elise SC for weekend fun, Caterhan 620R for track days and an Exige 430 Cup for some reason I can’t quite determine other than why not.

(The 430 Cup would be a brilliant 1-car garage but the Elise is actually more fun on the road and the Caterham is even better / more exciting on track)

Given two kids aged 3-7 I need some boot space. Persuaded the wife that we need a big v8 alongside the S1.

W204 C63 with the magnificent M156 engine.

I enjoyed mine when I had it!

Having it and the S1 means get to enjoy two very different cars.

I did have the same year c250 cdi but that wasn’t Ulez compliant, the 6.2 v8 apparently is…

Mini Cooper S with a DCT box
BMW 1 series convertible
Peugeot campervan!

The next one out will be the BMW, probably to be replaced by a two seater convertible or a 90’s hot hatch…

Happy Sunday Everyone , late as usual . Nice thread idea . My everday hack from 2018 is a 2006 Mini JCW R53 - I love it to bits . , A "few "mods and it made 200bhp at the wheels last year, runs on Ohlins road and track . THE most unreliable car ive ever bought lol . The car to see me out was bought new in 2022 . GR Yaris Circuit pack . Seeing the interest on the you tube Exige conversion inspired me to respond to this thread . IMHO its a peach , any body want to know anything about it please don’t hesitate . I am a bit more Bike than car . I have owned a Honda RC30 since 2001 ( its going out the door soon to pay for the Yaris) Honda RC24 , Yamaha TZR2503MA and 3XV, BSA B25 since 1983 & Modern Fantic Cabellero 500 bought a few years ago which is a charming , and the only one in use. I notice a few aircooled flat sixes being owned in this thread.. dead jealous , I just love those , a boat I missed , so great to see them here. Salts nearly cleared , and clocks go forward at last ! Yours Dave

Hi Tom , also recently retired . I have the hots for hot hatches. I have owned Pug 205 GTI 1.9 , Renault Willy 1 , Citroen Saxo VTS & the Mini MCS R53 which is my sacrificial shopping trolley . Bought a GR Yaris new in 2022 .. never looked back . Welcome to have a shot if you are in the sussex or S bucks area . Not had a go in the Honda . TTFN Dave
