Oil or A/C? It only seems to have 1 pipe to it and as my car is Audi converted (and runs a single oil cooler at the rear) I’m wondering if it can be removed??
Its an OE oil cooler, the second pipe is on the front side of the cooler.
I would be slightly nervous about removing it, as if it is used and you damage the threads on the cooler, you would need a new cooler and pipes. I would be tempted to run the engine up to temperature and see if it changes temp. If it does, leave it alone!!
would be weird to not use them given they’re nicely placed, then add another out back
Yeah i will check it out…guessing clam off to remove anyway? Only noticed when fitting canards earlier.
I’d leave well alone, give us a picture of the one you think is the oil cooler in the engine bay, it might not be!

I know the 19 row 235mm mocal is the one in the engine bay as I fitted it a month back to replace the knackered one. Don’t know these cars that well yet to work on…
Did the second canard today and yup, there’s a second one 
bit pissed off as they should have been ripped out to save weight when the engine swap and rad was done. Another job for the list!!

Can anyone confirm if I can remove these without removing the clam? Thinking undo from wheel arches and drop out from underneath?
I’ve answered my own question…no you can’t it seems, not enough clearance underneath.
