What fuel ?

I have had my Exige for just over a month now and got to admit for an easy life I have been using morrisons supermarket regular unleaded. Today I ran the car down to fumes level and stuck 20 quid of shell v power super unleaded in ! Wow what a difference, the overall drive of the car seems much happier and pre 6k revs car picks up so much better STUNNED
Whats people using ?

Usually V power as I have a local station however Tesco 99 rocks even more than NA!

No no no it doesn’t Andy

Tesco 99 first choice then Shell 99.

If really desperate then 97.

Doesn’t run well on standard 95.

Ex77

V power every time.

same here - 2nd choice is Momentum

Never been near regular unleaded, always use Tesco 99

With added acetone peroxide if you ask me !!

I have tryed Shell V power and Tesco Lack of Momentum 99 , got to say the car picks up much better on the Vpower than the tesco. Did not seem that much different to regular unleaded on tesco . Will be sticking to V power from now on . Downside is cheapest V power round here is 1.41.9 litre, where I could get tesco 1.38.9

Thats the total opposite to my findings, my car runs much better on Tescos 99. Also when three of us did a dyno day two of us ran V power and the other tescos, the tesco 99 car whooped our arses running the same map.

I’m surprised you can tell, if I’m honest…you sure its not all in the mind??? In my early years I did a lot of fuel testing…very little difference if thats all that is changing. I guess buying fuel for our ladies is like buying our girlfriends and wives a coke, or 9 cocktail…if she drinks enough of them we think the magic will start! LOL

If you have ever tried to run any engine on shitty low grade fuel you will know the difference …

I agree mine is always best on Tesco 99 too. Maybe for Lawson77 it is something to do with where you buy your fuel i.e. if bought from a Tesco that barely shifts any super then it may have been sat there a while.

yeah I had been thinking that as well, in the current climate in my neck of the woods the fuel could be some age !
There is a very busy shell on an A road not that far away that might be the best bet.
There is def a difference over regular in the 190 Exige

It certainly does

Where does BP Ultimate come in this debate? I’ve been using because it’s handy and doesn’t seem to bad to me.
Tesco99? Never tried it as no supermarket near me but maybe I shd try it out. I’ll have to nip down to Pesky’s neck of the woods to fill up.

I’m sure it may be different for you S2 boys but i think we nailed this one in the S1 forums some time ago - it makes no difference on a car runing a OEM ECU.

i agree.
