I know. Class. My dad is a bit of a joker (he’s a car dealer btw) and I was in the garage and a Citroen Dolly drove past. I was about 18 at the time, and said to him in a sarcastic way that only an 18 year old can “That’s my dream car”. We had a laugh, and then I forgot all about it. About a month later my dad said he’d got me a car from the auction to go to college in (and to do up to sell). I rushed into the garage to see it and was confronted with a beige Dolly, with green stripey seats! I think I went a pale green before going bright red. It was sold very soon after and much to my relief I never went to college in it. I have been reminded that it was replaced by a Granada Esate, which was dubbed ‘The shag waggon’. (It’s not on the list)
I had about 20 cars before I was 20 years old, some I never even drove, they were just to sell, so they don’t really count.
Must say there’s some impressive lists out there plus some serious money. Would love to be in the position to have a stable of cars, but can only just squeeze the exige in my garage.
