Wet Weather Driving

Having spoken to Don Palmer it seems that the ‘Wetter the Better’ driving course he used to run is no more following changes at MIRA.Does anyone know of any other similar courses, as I urgently need to brush up on my ability to push the Exige a little in the wet.

I too would be interested. I’ll look around to see what I can find any other takers? You could always hope for rain on the 24th at donington [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]otherwise http://www.combe-events.co.uk/index2.html quote: form the Castle Comb Web site Drivers use both a Rover and BMW under professional instruction to experience different skids and learn the techniques required for controlling them Some chance of it being an M3…or Great if you were ever thinking about towing in the Exige [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif[/image] Welcome to Skid Control - Established in Sussex 1979 or http://www.nationaldrivingcentre.co.uk/index.html I reckon this could be even more fun than a day at Donington if they would just park the instruction cars and let 10+ Exiges let rip on a wet and oily surface. Hmm, I thought Don had moved to offer similar services at Bruntingthorpe. But since you’ve spoken to him and he’s not mentioned anything, that can no longer be the case…Just as well I got my MIRA tuition last Xmas time then…

Come on U know it makes sense [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]A little bird told me that an exige who shall remain nameless left their mark on the B3260. (Well not exactly on but only by a few feet away from).A lovely little testing roundabout exit, generally taken from 2nd - 3rd 60-80Mph. Leading into a decreasing radious exit and full throttle in the dry… but in the wet watch that pedulum effect … yeah I’ve got it wooahhh not quite… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/shocked.gif[/image] gotit-not-gotit-not-s******!!!Come on boys lets collectively reduce our insurance premium liability. With the entry looking like: www.mikola.demon.co.uk/exige/apex.jpg and the only brief but possible resting place of: www.mikola.demon.co.uk/exige/watchtheditch.jpg ho ho ho…[This message has been edited by X111GED (edited 05 October 2001).][This message has been edited by X111GED (edited 05 October 2001).]

Whereabouts is the B3260?

The back side (quite literally) of Reading. Joining the M4 J11 to A329M.
