I am also new here, Got a 2004 S2 Exige with performance pack in November. had a few S1 Elise’s before that.
Like the car but planning a few mods (once I have paid my tax bill).
Done two trackdays so far and booked Silverstone with Circuit days in march.
Booked another six with LOT starting in March.
Planning on doing SPA and the Ring this year, so will look out for any planned trips on here and maybe tag along.

I have been registered here for a while and this seems as good a time as any to say hello. I have recently bought a 2001 S1 Exige in laser blue with a mere 12k on it. It is a 190 K series with sports seats and harnesses and air con. A bit of a difference from my std S1 elise.

Unfortunately cars are very expensive in denmark so I am looking into buying an S1 elise and over time doing a elise to exige convertion .

I am not sure if your car tax laws are the same as ours, but five years ago I bought a second hand RS4 from Germany and drove it back to the UK where I got it licensed as a UK car. As it was second hand there was no tax to pay when I brought it into the country. At the time it saved me a massive amount over on the Uk version.

Unfortunately we have to pay app. 180% tax on the cars price. New or used make no difference.
If i buy an elise for 8000 pounds i have to pay app 16000 pounds tax to get it registered
To make i worse. Allmost no performance modification is allowed.
Hello. I bought an ex-Mark Hill S1. I’m quite pleased I’ve found a sound car which needs very little attention at the moment. May I express my gratitude on this forum, which has allowed me to have valuable info on the car, beeing a Lotus newbie (have been a Renault Alpine specialist for 20 years).
