Weight of std seat and rails.

Anybody ever put a std seat incl. Rails on their bathroom scale??

Only when attaching the steering wheel to the wash basin.

Yeah, thinking of fitting it to the bowl so I can have a confy sh%$.

Na, was just wondering if you save weight on mounting Sparco’s or not. Probably about the same…

Hi, Just weighed the drivers seat and rails and it was just over 10kg!

You’re not supposed to sit in the bloody thing too!

Bleedin’ell Rob if I sat in it, it wouldn’t be just over 100kg…it’d be way over!

Only if you’d kept your wallet in your back pocket!

Ok, thanx Azrael

So there is some weight to be saved. My Sparco Evo brings 8.6kg w/o rails. A carbonfiber one like the S-light only 5.8kg.

Sparco Evo will be a tough fit in the Exige. Suspect that it will be too wide unless you can do something with the center console.

Yep, that center console is very wide.

Nope, not so though, have some idea’s. It will not fit directly but it will fit. Some modification are needed. An American guy fitted the PRO2000 into his which is slightly bigger (as are Americans )

The only problem I have is that I’m slim and 6’4" (as most Dutchman ) The PRO2000 has its screws on the bottom and he mounted it on top of the rails. Mine is side mounted so I can drop it as low as possible between the rails.

I bought a cheap EVO of ebay to have a try. I will continue after my car is back from Quorn.

Rene

If it’s still there next Friday, I’ll say “hello”

Hi Rene,

Are the Dutch girls also tall and slim!!!

Saw you car at Martins last week! Looks great… the work they do is top drawer stuff… as you know!

Like your wishbones too!!

Drive it carefully mate!

Pete.

Every body has seen my car but me

Car is up for road testing today…hope all the snow is gone  And as I’m still on the other side of the globe messed up in Chinese new year

and visits from my parents I won’t see the car until end of June

So my very very lucky brother can pick it up mid Feb. If he brings it home safe he is

otherwise he is
