I’m just curious why the Exige MKI is quite heavier than the Elise MKI (both in standard trim).
-fix roof cant be much heavier than the soft top?
-rear wing? Clamshells? Seats? Harness?
-or is it the bigger wheels?
-what’s the difference in the engine?
I’m sure you have an idea
All the things you said, plus oil cooler and A/C in most cases.
Engine is lighter in the Exige (AFAIK).

But I really did not know that the roof and clams are so much heavier

and I think it’s because they are wet laid - by hand so the glass is quite a bit thicker and they are probably a lot bigger (surface area) blah blah etc…
I know how thin the S2 Elise front clam is as I reversed into one at work hardley touched it and it cracked like an egg shell!!!
