We are a classic - official!

The S1 is now officially a classic!

This month’s Classic & Sportscar magazine has a test of the S1 against a Noble M12 GTO.

Nice…must get a copy this month then!

What month’s magazine is it? C&SC is usually a month or two behind here in NZ, just so I know what issue to look out for

October 2013 is the one you’ll be wanting!

Thanks! I’ll head down to my mag shop and order it, should have it sometime in 2016

By that time the S1 will have gone from ‘classic’ status to ‘vintage’…!

I’m afraid the Exige S1 will never attain ‘Vintage’ status, not in motor sport terms at least. :unamused: That is a term reserved by both the FIA and the MSA for cars built before 1931. :nerd:

However, in the way that any good wine of any year can be classed as Vintage perhaps we’ll make an exception…

… and the even BETTER news Mike is that YOU will also just be a Classic and never ever Vintage!!!

That’s Simon E’s car in the C&SC review, isn’t it? If so, come on Simon, and tell us all about it

Yes indeedy Clive was me

Notice I got exiges.com quoted at the end - part of the deal

Really good day with Steve Sutcliffe on Salisbury Plain and the Noble driver, top owner and loved his car, immaculate condition felt a little guilty of the Exige condition - Steve is a real British Sportscar enthusiast btw and a really engaging fella

A few inaccuracies in the story - inc I am not from the Lake District

470 mile round trip on the day and the Exige never missed a beat - I have fallen back in love with my old flame

Would I swap the Exige for a Noble? - not on our watch

Well done Simon, I’ll pick up a copy tomorrow!

I assume your car is still running my old engine??

Yes Ben and there’s a piccie of it in the article

It is going absolutely fabulous at the mo but being ‘rested’ this winter to be replaced by my mega powered (ahem 210bhp k)
