Potentially a cheaper, less effort solution than doing the remote thermostat thingy!
in fact, it is true the contrary…
on the Rover powered Elise/Exige, the radiator is already bigger than it should be. Increasing the cooling capability will just keep the thermostat closed more and longer, reducing the coolant flow inside the engine and consequentially increasing the risk of HGF.
Please note the 82� thermostat (as part of the 190 bhp upgrade) is there to increase the coolant flow, not to reduce the engine working temp…
