Washed and polished S1

Finally got around to cleaning and polishing the Exige. Took most of the day to remove the remnants of the stickers and tyre rubber from racing. What a lovely car they are…and yellow is best.

Looks stunning Dave !!

what polish have you used ?

Looks loverly! What did you use to clean the engine or has it always looked like that?!

cheers

I used Meguiars Paint cleaner, polish and then carnauba wax.

The engine was brand new when I put it in 6 months ago. I just give it a hose to keep it clean.

Looks in fantastic condition - I guess having the sunshine makes it easier to spend more time on it.

Wish I had an engine that cleaned itself - clever people them Japs

Yes the last bit of my question was rather stupid!

Move on, nothing to see here!

Looks fabulous and you’re right . . . yellow is best

are we going to have to follow [sshh you know who] and have a detailing section?

Awesome pics…

LOVE the first and second ones.

What have you done for brake cooling ? - looks like cutouts in the front ?

Photos look great !! What Wheels are they on your car and what ofset and size ?

Are the Tyres also slightly oversized or is that just the wheel rim that gives that illusion ?

What Wheels are they on your car

I believe they are the lightweight TMR ones if that helps - Sorry to butt in Dave .

PS. What are the gold coloured canisters on the side of the engine bay, I assume theyre reservoirs of some sort, suspension maybe…

Rims are indeed TMR. Same offset as std but I have Pilbeam wishbone and uproghts which seem to have pushed the track out a bit.

The canisters are beer supply as Pesky points out. It’s acually James Boags which I use during endurance racing to get me over the line. The engine bay heat keeps it nice and warm just the way you blokes like it. I have a canister in each corner so no matere where I am on the track I always have a strong feed (like a surge tank)
