Hi
Email me if you have something like That !
Thanks
Yeah good luck with that, they pretty much never come up for sale.
Your best bet is braid as per this thread.
Find 4 more people…
…and is that AndyD’s fine looking motor?
i know because i search that since 2 years
but i spoke with speedline corse company and he told me it’s possible to create a wheels for exige s1 but we need to have an order with 20 set minimun ! but with an attractive price…
so i think it’s impossible to find 20 people to make an order in a same time…
I think if they can create the wheels for S1 Exige this time, hopefully will be in correct offset.
It is … a long time ago though ! … Hmm doesn’t look bad
20 sets of 4 or just 20 wheels.
20 set (20x4)
I think this will be the third of maybe fourth time we’ve courted Speedline. I thought they had changed foundry and binned the molds. The last set also had porosity issues.
If either Speedline/Braid could come up with a reasonably light but robust 5 spoke wheel, with the right offset etc for under £1500 all in then I reckon you drum up ten sets at a push. Twenty sets would be a few years demand.
I don’t think Speedline would come good and Braid are a grand adrift.
Why speedline, what’s the pull?
They are the best looking s1 wheel by far. I’m sure Speedline would sell loads, I don’t see they need to sell the whole batch before they will agree to make them. Speedline are a pain though, even if they agree to make a batch they will take forever and blame the foundary in Italy for the delay.
Were they an option on the MS Elise? - there is some link to OE for them as a wheel on the S1 Exige.
Lets post up a list then… I’ll have a set (unless they take the piss). Run it past a few forums.
My favourite alternative wheel. Just ask Pesky and Ted
I know it’s a completely different style of wheel but the braid win race a’s monoblock have grown on me a lot. As per Jamie’s time attack car and this vx220
I think these are cast so would be quite a bit cheaper I would have thought.
Are the speedlines forged or cast?
They don’t look even half as good as the speedlines though.
I can’t even imagine chipping PF clag off of those
Sport Elises had Rimstocks as far as I know - The rears were a slightly different offset to standard though ET7 instead of ET5. They are no lighter than standard - I’ve got a set lying around so I checked!
The Speedlines came about from the handful that went GT racing I think, the autobytel cars were arrive and drive so no chance for different wheels. The rears were different again at ET9 for some reason and while they do look amazing, having to use spacers to get those few mm back is a bad idea, while not having spacers both looks a bit odd and can also let the tyres rub the chassis.
I would like a set of Speedlines, but only if in next 3 months max.
Resurrecting this old thread.
I saw these Speedlines for sale on Seloc, fronts are 17" though…
