2 of these required - new/second hand, whatever.
is it just the standard one you’re after or do you want the bit that fits underneath and attaches to the standard front spoiler (like the edwards ones)
No just the standard black satin finish jobbie. (S2 we are on about - yes?)
Cheers
yes S2 exige, didn’t someone buy one not so long ago for 130
I remember thinking that it wasn’t very expensive (lotus expensive that is)
I know but the 6 - 8 week wait could be a problem!
I’m not having the problems like I did in the beginning of the year as I have changed suppliers, but if you can get one for 130 then its probably worth getting it
Yes, but we are off to Le mans in two weeks, so I need to sort it before then, and Lotus are not going to come up with a solution…
I had to get one a couple of weeks ago. I ended up calling a few dealers, and was lucky that Strattons had one in stock. They were aware of how long it took them to get hold of the previous one.
I’d suggest calling around a few main dealers, and see if anyone has done the same. BTW it was 130, but I thought that was going to be for black gelcoat but its actually a horrible light blue untreated colour, so it needed painting, bringing the price up a little.
Maddog, interested in knowing what your thinking of producing. Is it a whole part to replace the standard splitter, or just a sheet to attach underneath to extend what’s already there. I’ve got a sheet of carbon effect ABS sheet in the garage and been thinking of knocking up something myself, but I’m not sure I’d get a tidy enough edge with the snips.
The one in the S2 exhaust holes thread looks pretty good, although not sure how it would go on the road.
Cheers
Will.
The original spoiler is a odd shape and doesn’t have anywhere to bolt a splitter to, so the best way to make it fit properly and not flap about would make a one piece with a built in splitter
