Wanted: Exige S1 190 ECU

Long story but it transpires my S1’s ECU has a fault and I’m struggling to find someone to repair it. I’m aware Bluestreak have been mentioned on other threads but they have not been very forthcoming in being able to offer a repair on mine - several phone calls and emails with part numbers and photos over the last two weeks and I’m still no further on :confused:

Another specialist has tried and failed to repair it and a further two have said they can’t work on it :frowning:

If anyone has a working unit for sale (ideally a 190 but might consider a 177 version) or a reasonably-priced Emerald (K6 or K3) I’d be very interested.

What are the differences between a s1 and a early s2 ( cable , not FBW ) Ecu?

As far as I know they’re totally different, the S1 and 340R used an older EFI MT-501 unit similar to that used on the V8 Esprit, they changed them completely for the S2 (also EFI but a ‘K4’ according to Seloc).

Mine is a T4.

I have a new K3 with leads and manual that I may part with. I bought it a while back from a guy who was going the Audi route but then changed his mind. It was set up for 5 cylinders but I had Emerald revert it for 4 cylinders for a project that still hasn’t happened yet!

markf I might be interested in your K3 - I’m just trying to work out if it will do adaptive mapping with a wideband lambda controller, or if I’d need the K6 for that :think:

It should. If you look at the Emerald web site I think you will find that the k3 and the K6 run the same software, that was the case when I had a k3.
