Afternoon,
Looking for a brake upgrade for my S1, currently running EP ally bells and rs4-2 so either larger discs and appropriate bells or adding 4 pot’s.
Many thanks.

IMO there is more to be gained in sorting the bias out, rather than more braking effort up front.
On the S1 you can either space the rear caliper out, or look to swap to some more 2 pots.
You can’t space out the rear calipers on late S1’s with the steel uprights. If you have the ally uprights you can swap the caliper mounts over as they are a separate piece, to suit either larger discs with standard caliper or fit 2 pots.
What are you using the car for mainly? Without starting a which pad is best argument, if you are looking for on track performance there are better options than RS-42. All have other downsides though, so a bit more of a compromise.
I have a 4pot ap kit with 304mm discs that is a direct fit to the S1 when running 16 front wheels
Thank you for the replies most appreciated. car is used predominantly and set up for track days with handling spot on thanks to BOT and NTR 46’s etc. Will check my rear uprights as that appeals to my common sense nature but would still like a little more assurance to come with my decreasing ability (age related) and my son/girlfriends far better feel and pace. What size spacers do I need for the rear and what is the next step up in disc sizes if you dont mind me asking?
Thanks again.
S1 Exige? All S1 Exiges have the steel rear uprights and the rear callipers can’t be spaced without going to aftermarket uprights.
What sort of power do you have? I ask only because with anything less than a forced-induction engine swap, the stock brakes are just fine for the car, with braided lines, good pads and fluid, I’ve never found them lacking… and I’m not known for being slow.
