How soon do you want them Gav?
I’m thinking about reverting to the 2 pots on the front, as I can’t afford to convert the rears to 2 pot to make everything balance up perfectly. However, it’s likely to be early Feb before I’m in a position to proceed.
Soon but not desperate. I have a couple of brand new sets of the 2 pots here, we may be able to help each other out…
12000 posts Rob!!!
Fook me, how sad is that!
Let’s talk calipers in the New Year then, Gav
What is worse is that it is more than double the nearest person
Brown caliper would contract nicely with the orange Rob

Don’t disagree, Steve Wonder where I could get some?
Just wonder if anyone tried the Alcon caliper before instead of ap??

You can put the front 2 pots on the back with a 200 bracket Rob and keep the old calipers for the handbrake.

Thanks. I know I could definitely do that with an S2 (not sure about an S1), & Phoenix Motorsports have had such a set up available for a couple of years or so. However, although it’s a possible solution, it’s not one for me to pursue.
Sorry forgot yours is an S1

I have a great contact if anyone wants to try Alcon.
Can someone explain what’s involved with the two pot rear conversion? My car came with APs and I haven’t noticed a problem with brake balance, just awesome stopping power.
You probably have the Lotus ‘Big Brake Kit’ (AP 7635’s iirc) on your car. Although they are a 4 pot caliper the pistons within are sized to work with the STD rear single pot slider without any further mods.
The 4-pot AP 5000’s have much bigger pistons inside them so ideally you have to increase the rear braking power at the same time to keep it all balanced.
I only know that they weren’t standard fit on the car. I’ll see if I can check somehow.
If you take one of the pads out you should see one piston smaller than the other
