VX220 Turbo Engine in an Exige

Well is it possible? I reckon it should be, the VX220 cant be that different - Anyone know how heavy the Vauxhall lump is?Courtenay the Vauxhall tuning people tweak them to 270bhp and a whopping 320 lb/ft of torque. That should solve my problem of severe lack of performance up the hills at the Nurburgring !Want a new engine but dont know where to go! Honda, TT260? Vauxhall Turbo?What say you all?

Well I’d rather not have my Lotus associated with anything Vauxhall (sorry David, I know you have a VX…but the heart wants what the heart wants… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image])And I always associate Courtney with the Nova brigade…remember that the VTEC lump can get 220bhp in NA form.

220 hp in normally aspirated form is fine but only 30 up on standard and with comparative measly torque figures.The turbo engine provides massive torque and a very respectable bhp too. Yes I know, turbo lag is an issue and one i’ve not really answered myself yetI am torn however, Honda make such bullet proof engines I have to say that makes them an attractive proposition. Joe has his KA20 upto 250 odd hp so its getting there.
