VW vs Porsche vs Range Raver Sport

You would have hated it, has one of those gay blowy things that runs on petrol

comes with a leaf blower, excellent

Hiya Jonny
Join the club! I’m now on my second Touareg, had a new well-specced R-line in May, as you say the deals were incredible on the R-Line. New one is on 20" tyres so not sure how these will fair but the last one on 18"s I got 30k out of the front tyres and 36k out of the rears. With consistently 31mpg on the long term MFD, not bad for a 2 tonne workhorse that will tow 3.5 tonnes or take a family of 4 in absolute comfort to Spa, Zandvort and back with the Elise behind on the trailer.
As you say with a hectic family, two lads in football, plus coaching gear the Touareg makes a super option.

Absolutely right Ian, hope you and the family are well. Always keep in touch buddy.

Yes we are all well, yours too?
I’m now managing my lads team on a Saturday and my eldest plays on Sundays plus Stoke Season tickets so full on footballing
Not using my Lotus either but resisting the temptation to scrap it!!!

Well that’s it I’m managing my youngest’s, helping with admin and treasury with another. Helping coach both my eldest’s Saturday and Sunday. Also helping the school BUT about to give that up, the admin/treasury of the other team and the S2  off the back off giving up my Villa season ticket last year… My eldest currently has an opportunity that would see me commit a ridiculous amount of time to him, if’s, but’s and BS tbh but you have to support them hey mate.

Anyway, I’m not scrapping the stock S1

I’ll give you a bell if and when I hire a BaT car Ian see if you want to go half’s mate, any good with you?

They are not young for long you have to enjoy the time with them while they want you, it’s no use looking back wishing you’d spent more time with them.
I have a mate who’s daughter is in the Liverpool academy, 3/4 times a week for hours at a time commitment.

Yes give us a shout anytime.

Little girl in my team just made Villa, she is awesome. We’ll see, will update when I know what happens.

Great news on the hire car, will be in touch.

What age group is your lads team?

Ian, old enough for you to be an official sponsor!

I bet he is, I know I am the default sponsor if it’s not possible, I’m lucky though we have great parents. U10 & U15’s.

Ah I’m U11 now 9v9, was going to suggest a friendly :frowning:

9v9 looks awesome, I can’t wait to coach that. My eldest went from 7v7 to 11v11. All the 9v9 games I’ve watched and that’s not many look very exciting. What formation do you use 3-3-2 or 2-4-2 using the wingers as wingbacks?

What colour VW, got a picture?

9v9’ is a really good progression from 7v7, it should have been done years ago! Perhaps a little too much to expect an 10 year old to fully work the wingback role, so I suppose I’m working a 3-3-2 but in reality a 2-1-3-1-1. I have an extremely fit good defender so I am letting him push up out of defence in more of a defensive mid role, knowing he’ll drop into form a back 3 when needed. Then I play my own lad in the “hole” behind a sole striker as he will work hard and recover into midfield if needed.

I’m thinking 442 long term, it’s so natural that I think playing 242 at under 9’s is half the battle for later recognition with the ability to adapt to a role in a hole formation. So…a 9v9 friendly next year sounds in order, what do you reckon Ian?

Would be good to set up a friendly, I know season is busy but perhaps next June early July before they go off on holiday? Or end August pre-season?

You need 3 up front or the scrum wouldn’t work

Sounds good to me…but I have no idea what Graeme is talking about!

Won first game of season on Saturday 7-1

Not played proper yet but won a friendly at the w/e
