Looking at your door mirror, it must have been pretty tight when you passed him!

Good work

Not me driving. That’s Scott Bargwanna in one of my customers cars.

This is my car.

Great photo’s Dave !! Amazing how much flatter the lighter exige is cornering - we all know this but it’s shots like this that really put it into perspective !!
Are they all on slicks ? What power is the burgandy car ?

All on slick. That is from the Australian GT Championship.

The burgandy car has a Link-Up Supercharged Honda K20a enginge. Standard engine same as all the road cars. 300hp.

Like the air-horns on the roof! “COMING THROUGH!”

Errrr, video cameras. One forward, one back. Also one in car and a box to record it all. Will soon publish footage of the Elise passing the Viper (and many Porsches) and driving away from it!

How long are the races in Ausi GT?
Do you have any issues with S/C belts and or the S/C itself?
Do you use the Jackson S/C?

Shame they won’t allow S/C Hondas in the Brit GT

The races were 1hour long 2 in one day.
No probs at all with s/c or belts. No engine problems at all.

That Viper looks sooo big

‘No probs at all with s/c or belts’

  • You mustn’t be trying hard enough then

So is it the Jackson S/C you are using?

What about drive shafts? Frankly I do not think mine would do a one hour race. What type are you using?

Sorry for all the questions but I’m interested in learing from anyone whose raced these Honda S/C cars regularly in an endurance racing environment.

We are using Jackson S/C as supplied by Link-Up.

Who’s conversion do you have? Have you spoken to them about your problems?

Very interested as well as I too am having problems with the driveshafts after a full track day…

What kind of problems do you have with the driveshafts? Is it a S/C Honda that you have?

Drive shafts have been uprated recently, I believe.

Car is being at the mechanic for dismantling rear driveshaft, CV joints etc… Will let you know. Symptom is the whole rear of the car (mainly LH ie when cornering on right side) shaking.Changes wheels bearings. Still he same. Waiting for the mechanic to tell me what is wrong. MSC offered me to send the defective part, although the one guarantee is over. Thanks Andy

The steel shaft exiting the body of the Super charger onto which the S/C belt attaches snapped in half. Which must take some force to achieve!

Yep we’ve spoken to them about it and to be fair they replaced the defective part under warranty but the Belts themselves seem to be treated as consumable items pretty much. I’ve had two go and the other Honda S/C car in our race series has had similar issues.

Drive shafts - I know of several that have just snapped in two, but generally the ‘boot’ swells until it just gives out completely, epsecially on a ‘hottish’ day.
