anyone has a free VIN number from an Elise chassis to get an exchange chassis from Lotus?
so we could save a relatively less damaged chassis for a racecar.

S1 or S2?
S2 Elise
But i would need a free COC/VIN for a Exige S1 too, as i think about to register my racecar. But in Austria its only allowed to tune up 30% to the standard car. so with the Honda it would be much easier to handle starting with 190 bhp

A free genuine S1 Exige Vin plate and log book. I think you will have a very very very long wait for one of those!
I think when he says “free” he means not being used not that he doesn’t want to pay for it.
I could be wrong it has been known
Right! i will, if necessary, also pay for it.
Maybe one has crashed an Exige S1 and doesnt rebuild it or an exige S1 is only used on racetrack and the VIN/Coc is no more used or the VIN is used in Australia or overseas?
Its only to satisfy local government

Im not sure lotus do the S1 partial body assembly anymore. I just received my new chassis but it was quite a hassle to have them make it. They don’t have the molds for the bulkheads anymore apparently and I had to send mine so that it could be bonded on.
Mr. Broome also told me that they where thinking of not offering the partial body assembly anymore. They will be able to produce the chassis though. So before you pay out for a COC/VIN from a crashed car, ask if what you want is still available.
