Following my posting, then withdrawal of my last video I’ve got some good footage from Donnies yesterday which I’m going to edit and provide a proper video, in time of course. In the meantime, however, just to get your morning off to a good start, here’s a lap from yesterday.

Enjoyed being reminded how “long” the gears are with the VHPD. I now drive Donny using 4/5/6 gears most laps - only using 3rd, if ragging it trying to keep DaveP in my mirrors
Yup, on the straights you can see how long it takes for those revs to rise!! …but to be honest, my 102kg frame doesn’t do any favours!

2nd & 3rd gears with the VHPD are really great on a lot of circuits (the old Anglesey was a classic!), because they are so high, compared to those of most cars.
PS Looks like you had great weather too - was the track busy?
No, it wasn’t busy. Probably 20 of us maybe? It was sessioned with the MGS on track chaps, but after what were very questionable weather reports all week, the day turned out to be superb, with plenty of sun and dry track, so cna’t complain about the slight chill in the air!!
You’re right, 2nd and 3rd are great…was doing the chicane in 3rd at the beginning of the day, but swapped to 2nd later on as I wasn’t getting the revs out onto pit straight, which I think made some difference?

…please note my foot is on the floor through Craners! That is the best bit without a doubt!
