vauxhall XE 16v question

Ok, so it’s not Exige engine, or even Lotus… but I suspect that there are a lot of petrol heads on here who have owned or own one… !

There is a big breather elbow that comes off the rear left corner of the cam cover… I have a blanking plate for it (from QED) but I’m not sure how the elbow is held in… there is a steel baffle on the inside which I’ve not removed… is it hiding clue?

All help gratefully received!

Cheers

Chris

Could have sworn I replied to this yesterday!!

From memory, they are an tight interference fit. A bit of gentle heat to the cam cover, something to grip the hose piece with and a little patience should see it come out.

You did! Is it Groundhog day??

Red diffuser then!

The one I have now is actually anodised green! It’s never occured to me, before now, that it might not be ‘normal’

And while I’m at it - best way to clean out a dry sump tank…? With petrol? (carefully etc!)
