Various S2 Exige Parts on Ebay !

8 Months of traumatic LOTUS ownership finally came to an end on Saturday night when my 06 S2 Laser Blue Exige s caught fire on the M56.

Scarrrrrry how fast these things will go up !! Never again.

I now have several spare parts from my garage listed on ebay, which may be of interest to someone ( wheel / tyres /exhaust / inlet manifold / coils / injectors / oil etc etc !)

Please follow link and then view other items !

Thanks and GOODBYE !

Really sorry to read the above :frowning:

Hope you don’t mind a few questions?

Did you buy the car from a dealer, or privately?

Was the car modified from “standard”?

What problems did you experience?

Any idea what caused the fire?

Thanks in advance.

Shit that’s terrible new mate :frowning:

It was a standard car bought from a TVR repair center in Newcastle.

It had been repaired ie front fibreglss damage.

Problems

Exhaust Rattles / Air con U/S / Flat Battery / 3rd gear crunching when cold / Suspension squeeks / Engine failure

No Idea what caused the fire, just a slight missfire then flames. I think I broke the record for how fast you can get out of an Exige !

The car was totaly gone within a couple of minutes. Just the front clam left !

I have pics but not sure how to upload !

Steve

Sorry to to hear your bad luck. Hearing stories like this does make me think I should carry a hand held fire extinguisher!

The Exige S oil cooler you are selling (universal one), is it a straight swap with the standard oil cooler? Does it use the same fittings for the hoses?

Thanks for the reply.

Presumably the parts you’re selling are not from the car after the fire, then?

All the parts for sale were not involved in the fire. They are just sad reminders sat in my garage.

The oil cooler may require some hose mods to fit. I never got round to installing it.

Thanks.

I need another oil cooler on my car. Previous owner never replaced the broken one and just jointed the pipes together instead. I may put a cheeky bid on and give it a whirl - a lot cheaper than the 180 Lotus charge!

I have a left hand side oil cooler going for the right price

oh dear, very sorry to hear what has happened. Suppose the main thing is that your ok and unhurt

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

Hope you have better luck in the future.
