One word I wonder about with the 3.5 litre: Weight.
A V6 would certainly add a certain Dino-esque class that the Exige lacks - but maybe a 2.4L or similar, lightweight, high revving engine would be more appropriate?

From what I’ve read the 6 cylinder is only something like 30-40 kilos more than the current engine so not a massive difference. What I’d be interested to see is if they hike the power as they will be doing in the Evora. A charge cooled V6 putting out 400bhp+ would be nice. But, then it could start making the Esprit slow so who knows if they’ll go that far?
I find it hard to believe that the factory will produce a V6 Exige road car*, as the price would pitch it right into Evora territory.
*An FIA GT racecar maybe…but not sure how many are needed to homolgate???
So it will be as fast as the Cup 260…so what exactly is the point of this unless they supercharge it…which they won’t.
