Urgent help neded.. Front bonnet

after a clam of job… my front bonnet is stuck…
I have removed the wheelarc liner… But still i cant open the bonnet… My working light went out now…so im leaving to buy myself a new bulb… But how do i manage to open the front bonnet from the wheelarch liner area??? I can see a nut (maybe 24 mm) on top of the locking mechanism . Is this the nut I have to remove to manage to open the front bonnet…???

Its a two man job but try pressing down on the bonnet right above the catch whilst someone else pulls the toggle under the dash - mine has stuck a few times and this is the 1st (read easiest) option to release it.

I have tryed that… but dident work …So think I have to unluck it from the “wheelarch liner area” some how…

Loosen all the clam bolts and push clam from front to release the tension on the locking mechanism?

Only an idea. Never tried… Might work, so long as the cable isn’t broken.

there are four clam bolts underneath the bonnet unfortunately .

This sounds like a real pain, don’t have any suggestions either other than lots of WD40 and silicon grease

Thanks for help…

I just lossend the huge nut 26 mm.?.. and then the bonnet pop’ed up after pulling the cable a bit… It was the sweetest pop sound I have ever heard… … The problem was that the 26 mm nut have moved to much toward the front over time… After adjusting it almost as close as you can get to the windscreen its better then ever,

OK you should know the score by now - - no posts of this nature unless you have a full photographic spread of what you are talking about.

Just where is this 26mm nut…not sure I have a socket in my toolbox that big!

hehe… its a bit hard to explain when you are in rush and type it in english… The nut is locatted on top of the spring (bonnet)… But I guess if I have tryed even harder to push the bonnet towards the windscreen I might been able to open it too (but I gave up)…
