Upgrading my ECU

Right, I have had my Exige S for a couple of months and have my 2bular exhaust and sport cat being fitted tomorrow. I want to improve the performance more, so what is available so far?

  1. ECU remap
  2. Better intercoolers
  3. Boost pressure increase
  4. Air filter (for airbox)

I want to aim for around 260-280bhp
Just needs something to do over the winter ready for nice warm sticky tracks next year

To do this you have two options
1 is Komo Tecs water jacket gives you the full package including by ECU reflash etc. It will add weight but will reduce heat soke

If not then give LMS a call or Plans you need to source the Cup 255 larger intercooler, roof with larger scoop and improved induction kit.

You need the smaller pulley set for the SC get boost up to 8psi

The tricky bit is the ECU you have two options
1 - convince LMS or Plans to get you a re-programmed ECU (you will be lucky!)
2 - Emerald will be bring out a replacement ECU for the Yota car this will allow all functions to be set for your set-up.

Also have a word with Jim on getting him to make you 2 things - a manifold and a de-cat with silencer

You should see 270 from that

Forgot you also need larger injectors 440cc should do

Skip the 440’s and go stright to the 550cc. They will allow for more than enough room for tunning without maxing out…So far 174ft.lbs. torque…274rwh.= 320 crank hp…

I am guessing you are at 12psi - hows the sc noise got louder?

This all looks interesting, can you give me anymore on specs? and who is doing the ECU mod? Is your intercooler standard etc?

The ECU mods are done at Tri-Point eng. [nolearn-lower cam switch point]and tuned Xede will give you an easy 215+RWH without an intercooler. That’s 250 flywheel…The intercooler is my design…

Thanks for the info however I just noticed you are in the USA,so the tuners are no good to me, surely there must be someone in the UK doing these type of modifications and ECU rework by now?
My new 2bular exhaust and sport cat is great it has definatley improved the performance I have a green airfilter to fit when I get some time and I am going to remove the snorkel from the airbox and put in a bigger diameter pipe to the side scoop, so I hope to find someone soon to do the stuff I can’t.
Any tuners need a test mule?
