Upgraded Engine Mounts

Never mind all that … Tell us more about Cheryl Cole ??

Can’t there’s a super injuction

Make sure to check your screws/bolts regularly from now on, a few may come loose over time with all the vibrations.

very good point!

except jbs, did anybody else upgraded to the Innovative mounts?

i have already the insert mounts, but as i’ll swap my gearbox soon i’m wondering if i could install these as wll

Motorsport mounts in mine - stop the engine rocking and improves gear change.

Powerflex here, result as above.

Powerflex her too. Noticeable difference

Was the first mod i did to my car back in 2006 .Made my own as none were available off the shelf at the time.Even on classic cars its a no brainer.

Powerflex her too. Noticeable difference [/quote]

Agreed! Best (simple) mod I ever had done! JSR did a super job with them. Got mine from Dave, next day delivery. Just wondering, this mod is never mentioned for the S1? Surely the benefits would be good too?

+1 for powerflex …
Mirrors vibrate a tad more tho

So… do they do them for an S1???

Vibratechnics do some really nice engine mounts for the S1

The S1 engine was lighter and mounted more stiffly as standard than the S2

Yes, indeed, but would it benefit from stiffer mounts mate? Has anyone on here fitted them?

You can get stiffer mounts for the lower subframe to sump mounting point. Or just press out the void bush, rotate by 90 degrees and refit. There is also an insert for the gearbox side which works quite well. Both worth it, anything more at normal power levels is a bit ott in my opinion.

Same as an S2, makes the vibration at idle a little more obvious.

Give me a call. I have some superpro engine mounts (the lower ones like John describes) in stock. Will add them to the site ASAP
Dave

Good to know they are available!

There was a noticeable difference in the gear change on the S2.

Got the inserts as well, so I also have wobbly door mirror syndrome

After reading through the thread and hearing all the positives of fitting uprated engine mounts, I decided today to fit the yellow power flex ones I have had in the garage for the last year. Rear one fitting this afternoon, front one tomorrow. Looking forward to feeling the difference.
