Owned my S1 for a few months now and completed a few track days. Thinking of upgrading the car to 190, will I notice much difference? (it feels a bit slow at times) My Lotus dealer estimates it will cost about �700 if he can still get the upgrade. I don’t want to go to the expense of a Honda/Audi upgrade.
Your opinions would be much appreciated.
It’s been discussed quite a few times with the general consenus being that there are better ways to milk out a few more ponies. Either do a search or start by having a look at this thread from the archives..
I have the before/after experience: it’s not worth the money! And ‘190 Kit’ has certainly nothing to do with ‘190bhp’…
Don’t get the kit if you have to pay for it. Get it if it’s for free as mine was
700� is a lot of pennies I guess I would spend the money for a decent exhaust, an emerald and some servicing and adjustments, a barrel of oil and a pair of fluffy dices
agree… not worth the cash… besides, for 2k I will sell you my entire enginre and gearbox which included all the bits for the 190 kit (invoice to prove it)… then you can sell the other bits off
