had an odd one yesterday.
dropped my mate off after driving back from oulton park yesterday, 50 mile drive.
switched the car off to get some stuff out of my boot for him. restarted drove a couple of miles and then stretched her legs from a standstill at some lights and she bounced off the 4500rpm limiter. temp gauge at 89 degrees. tried it at the next couple of stops and she did the same again.
pulled over switched the engine off. restarted let her idle for a moment or two pulled off and she the accelerated freely into the second cam.
anybody else had anything like this? hoping it’s just a glitch and nothing more serious waiting to happen…
Had this happen a couple of times now, but stopping and starting the car and it goes away, just a glitch in the ECU code somewhere, wouldn’t worry about it.
Had same problem a couple of weeks ago, never happened since
thanks for that then fellas. put my mind at ease.
Had this once too, cured as above.
I had something similar this morning. Engine was well up to temp, but both times I tried giving it full beans it seemed to run into a limiter for about 1/2 a second and then continue as normal. Didn’t get a look at the rpm as I was trying to overtake at the time.
…and it was working normally again during my lunch break
mine did it again today, very embarrassing it is.
