Just the same as thee, then, Dudlaay

It’s an “apartment” I’ll have you know! However, I don’t do Duplex

Ok just to clear this up…

I am more than happy with my car, we did a dyno day and mine showed lower power than expected but we put this down to my heat soked cooler so I thought nothing more of it.
Gav brought up a possible issue with engine mounts causing power loss and while I was chatting to a Lotus engineer at the viewing of the V6 exige I mentioned what I had read to him and he said he would look into it.
He came back to me with that answer so I posted it as I thought I was giving out helpful information.
Paul has offered to remove the mounts and re flash the car if thats what I would like.
As I said at the start, I have no idea what was causing my car to be down on power on the day, I was told (I have no fecking idea myself) that my car was running leaner than the other two. Not lean as in dangerous, just out of the three mine was the least rich.
It would now seem thats its possible my car was run in an incorrect gear, who knows other than taking it back to a dyno again.
I had no idea this was going to start such a pointless bun fight, there is most likely nothing wrong with my car but if I am told that there is potentially something wrong with it which is outside of my understanding I try and check it out, I am not sure where the harm is in that?
My car has been into CN’s a couple of months ago and was given a clean bill of health but as I read that this problem would not show up I figured (putting 2 + 2 together and most likely making 5) that it sounded a plausible reason for what happened on the dyno.
I know exactly what Gav means when he said he wished he did not bother.
As for advertising CN’s, I have always had good service so I shout about it just like I’ll tell people when I have shit service.
I don’t see the harm in that either Rob I see you post quite regularly about people you reccomend.

This is Exiges we thrive for pointless bun fights, in fact some positively aim for them

I’ve had women fight over my buns that was a long time ago…

But I’m not overly evangalistic about it, mate, & I do spread my praise about widely over different providers of the same service/product even though they are not usually the folk I personally use eg in the NW = Phoenix + MarcP, & the Midlands = JSR, whilst it’s actually the Edwards Boyz who look after my car. However, all the foregoing have helped me out over the years, & I’d have no hesitation in chucking dosh their way in the future.

I’ve still got you down to do a boiler service (& I can highly recommend your services in that regard) in a few weeks time, & will be in touch. Hallelujah, bruv

Couldn’t agree more.

Oh dear…why mate?

Boothy, save yourself all this bother: buy an S1

Nah, he’s a Porsche man, deep down

The engine might if I take those mounts out

Wow… this is a lot of fuss!

I’ve no reason to doubt what Gav was told, so would seem the easiest way to check would be to get Boothy’s car re-dyno’d, then ECU reset, then re-dyno’d again - preferably all in the same day.

No point in swapping the mounts back out straight away unless you have proof that it has caused an issue ? A single dyno run shouldn’t cause the problem, so you should see straight away if the reset has cured anything.

I have both front and rear oem mounts here Boothy, still inserted into their steel brackets.

It would just be a simple case of swapping them over rather than have them push your mounts out and replaced again with oem. If you want them to try you’d be more than welcome.

Seriously though, good luck Boothmeister - hope them missing horses turn up, whatever the reason they went for a gallop without you.

And don’t forget to put “proper” fuel in this time!

+1 for Boothy …Top bloke and his threads rock
