Unexpected Pleasure(?)

Had an unexpected run out in the Exige today – on possibly the wettest, windiest day on which the old girl has ever been out.
A few car breakdown/Christmas logistics problems meant I had to take the cover off and venture out in my recently cleaned and polished motor.
Not what I would have wished but no good having it in the garage if it can’t be used.
Arrived at work and put the home-made storm cover on, hoping a tree doesn’t get blown over on to it.

VERY brave Steve. Still on the 48’s?

My Exige is currently my daily although now on winter tyres. It is a bit wild out there today!

Yeah, that would be brave…back on the all weathers now!

I took the Evora to work last week, a 600 mile round trip Tues - Fri. The journey home on Fri was ok up to Scotch Corner, after which it was dark, very windy, and very wet. So much so you could not see past the wagon in front due to the horrendous spray. Overtaking had to be carefully planned, and with breath held.

Stressful time & glad to get home. The Evora coped superbly

Lucky boys getting some unexpected pleasures

I’ve seen the following nice cars out in the shit weather over the last couple of days :

  • Aventador in Blood Orange :sunglasses:
  • e60 M5 giving it beans over Kingston Bridge
  • White TVR Tamora - looked/sounded mega

I love cars me

We need some pleasure, don’t we boys? All I’m getting is earache about how little I’ve done towards Christmas.
Christ, it’s painful. My only interests, and I quote: “Are that bloody car and your Exige mates, going to the pub and organising trips out with your pub mates, playing squash and cycling”
Yes, well I’m semi-retired and that’s how I enjoy filling my time.
Happy Christmas, one and all.

Amen to that I’m with you brother.

It’s an exercise in tolerance and patience my end. Three kids bouncing off the walls and a Missus that thinks no detail is to small to anticipate and plan for when it comes to the invasion of her family starting tomorrow…pass the Mogadon

Glad someone shares my pain. Pour yourself another stiff one and keep your head down!

I was working on monday and considered taking the lotus, glad I didn’t after the downpour I had to drive through!
