I finished the latest evolution at flywheel of the rover k series.
After having used a similar ultra flywheel during 1 year on rallyes, now I’ve finished the new ultra flywheel.
It has been made from 184mm flywheel of EP.
The EP flywheel 184mm weighs approx 3.3kg and after the modification I managed to leave just 2.1kg.
I do not use the clutch of AP, use one of Helix Group A with a single organic drive plate with and 310Nm of torque.
I do not use a cerametalic or sintered drive plate because they eat and wear too the flywheel.
Of course is required concentric bearing clutch and master cylinder more powerful, because the OEM system is not strong enough to operate the new clutch.
With this flywheel no problem with the idle if the ECU map is perfect, 1000 rpm.
