Ok, yep that’s got a handful more horses than Marks’
I was wrong
Well I’m glad that’s cleared up.
So that’s two of your claims about your engines shown to be plain wrong.
Keep dreaming Simon.
Now I have shown curves from some of my engines for your scrutiny, now… Quid pro quo… you have been boasting about yours, so lets see the one in question.
Let’s see Mark’s torque curve and see who should be disappointed…
I see that you are still declining to show Mark’s torque curve… Smokescreens wont really detract from that , you really have no answer because you know it will be embarrassingly poor.
The engine outputs from my engines all have known and published figures substantiated on dyno-plot or magazine published, funny how none of yours do…
Uldis’s is 220 the RR trace shows that.
Keep dreaming…
in the mean time I bet all the engines I have built will still be running for years to come
Is it really a different bore/stroke configuration?
Because if so, it is clearly you who would need help, not noticing that it’s a completely different configuration (but then you have shown before that you think it doesn’t matter).
Can I have now the details of the owners of these two magical engines?
Please. I’d like to ask them the details of the build.
You insist one os the same as mine…
Been waiting for the PM but haven’t received any yet…
…whilst I get a call every week from someone with either an engine or head from you that has a problem…
Is that why you PM’d me regarding my “engine hunting for revs” post, with the just same suggestions that I’ve already had elsewhere whilst also fishing for more “inside” info on Dave’s work ? Your suggestions were identical to Dave’s, which he publically posted 2 hours earlier. The remainder of your PM was superflous.
Why didn’t you simply post your suggestions to the actual message - that way anyone else could see your suggestions as well - useful if others search for a similar thing in the future, whereas a PM is never seen by others.
It was Simon who made the comparison, not me… trust you to go off on a tangent.
If you think that I am going to give you details so that you can pass them on to Simon, you can think again. They do not want 3 hour 'phone calls and a barrage of emails from him. The engines are well known in Caterham circlesand well known to Dave Walker, after all it was on his RR.
Have a look at dyno-plot, you will see the 238BHP engine, Steves 251BHP and Shaun Elwells 232 hydraulic engine.
Dave
Dob,
I have a number of PMs and underhand emails sent by SE to people fishing for dirt. He probably doesnt know that I know a lot of these people, I know how he operates… sickening.
“in the mean time I bet all the engines I have built will still be running for years to come”
Potentially yes, as the owners seem to do about 800 miles per year. Perhaps they’re frightened they may break their engine and lose the huge amountof money invested in them (You’ve still not given us costings inclusive of labour)
Also, KingK, aren’t you the same guy that phoned me 2 1/2 years ago when I was advertising my original K-Series (I was tinking of an Exige engine at the time) ?
At the time, you were “working” on EVO’s (the magazine) 340R, which was seriously underperforming. You suggested I keep an eye on the magazine as “all would become clear”. Has there been a single update on that car in those 2 1/2 years about it now making the expected power ? Not in any copy I read…
DW fitted an Emerald and verniers to the engine which was underperforming, Simon Erland 'phoned him and asked him not to do too good a job when timing the cams and mapping so that his later mods would appear to work better.
DW and EVO were nervous about letting Simon E rebuild the engine since Se was unknown and by all accounts going to rebuild the engine in his Mum’s garage.
DW asked me to 'phone Simon and suggest that the engine was built under my supervision either at Emerald or here with a photo record of what went on. The phone call was the one where I decided that I no longer wanted anyhting to do with SE. After listening to a couple hours of whining and baleful paranoia about DW and a host of other people that I respect I told him never to 'phone me again.
Since he cannot take rejection I am now the enemy, up till then he was regularly brown-nosing and calling me ad-infinitum.
Hearing him call DW a Fcking primadonna and claiming that DW was trying to steal all the credit for ‘his work’ and just wanted to get his name in a magazine proved too much, knowing Dave as I do it was sickening to hear such a crock of shte.
I assume that following that conversation the decision was taken not to go ahead, but I may be wrong, maybe something more did happen.
Simon you are a lying , underhand, two-faced S-O-S.
You originally asked me to do the porting and then changed your mind. It didnt matter to me who did it and I told you so, I originally declined because I was too damned busy.
The rest of the conversation is as posted, I phoned Dave immediately following to let him know the outcome.
To say you put the 'phone down on me is sheer fantasy, anyone who has ever had a 'phone conversation with you will know that you need a nuclear warhead to get you off the 'phone.
That conversation was the reasone we fell out and AFAIK I am the 4th person to ask you never to 'phone them again.
Let’s see what DW has to say about it… after all he asked me to 'phone you and told me what to say.
DW fitted an Emerald and verniers to the engine which was underperforming, Simon Erland 'phoned him and asked him not to do too good a job when timing the cams and mapping so that his later mods would appear to work better.
After speaking with DW there is one small amendment I need to make to my statement regarding the EVO fiasco, Simon Erland told DW not to fit the verniers or do the cam timing on the EVO car so that his later mods would appear to work better, rather than asking him not to do too good a job on the timing and mapping. Needless to say Dave fitted the verniers and timed the cams. Apologies for my dim memory.
