Confused on what tyre pressure should be in my S2 tyres. The manual has 2.0bar back and front…surely this can not be right. Shouldn’t the front have less? When I went to check they had 1.6bar in both front tyres 2.0bar in the back.

My hand book states 1.8 Bar F & 2.0 Bar R, which for road use feels ok.

Will be high look at the contact patch and wear rates. I found the middle of my first set wearing at a higher rate = over inflated tyres
My first set of rears were set at 28psi which was way to high. Am now running 24/25 and working/wearing much better.
If they wear out in the middle they are definitely overinflated, no matter what the book recommends.
Don’t know why but Lotus always recommends higher than optimum pressures.
The S2 is heavier, but on my S1, ROAD pressures are about 20-22 psi.

Nope. Tread depth on a part used set will be your only friend
…or drive through some tacky floor paint at the desired speed & tyre temp, then come back for a look
