I managed to get a flat on Friday night on one of the rears. Nursed it home as I was about a mile away. The tyre is now pretty fooked so I don’t fancy moving it, which limits my choices to mobile fitting.
It came with T1-r’s which I gather aren’t the last word in performance…(and also have now been replaced by tr1’s). In an ideal world I guess I’d give NS-2r’s a go but I don’t see them being offered by local fitters. I have pilot sport 4’s on my CTR but I’m guessing they are suited to a heavier car?
Halfords (don’t faint, my choice is limited…) surprisingly have stock of T1R in 225/45 R17 94Y XL 70 FC. However the fronts (which are virtually new) are not XL.
Is mixing XL (rear) and non XL (front) going to be an issue.
Any other suggestions welcome. How complicated can this be?!!!
