There are currently two nice Exige S1 for sale on Pistonheads. A silver one for 38.5k and a Laser Blue one for 35k.
With nearly no S1s offered in the sub 40k price bracket for the last 18 months they do look like good offers.
I can’t get excited by cars like the silver one, you could look at it but not drive it. They should be used, even if it’s just tge odd romp on a summer day.
Strange that, the seller seems to have no idea about the engine. The pictures clearly show a proper VHPD engine, even the resonator valve is still in place.
But I agree that kind of car is not very exciting. Too expensive to be driven.
Interesting to see what the true ‘market value’ might be, I guess we’ll see if the auction one sells this time round. I’ve felt for a while that £40k is probably about the right money for a decent example; FWIW I reinsured mine earlier this year at ‘market value’ but with an estimate of £45k even though the only ones for sale at the time were £60k plus.
Will be very interested to see what the Silverstone Exige makes but at 15% buyer and 15% seller premium the auction house has got to be laughing all the way to the bank - money for old rope
Is Silverstone Auctions run by the same Nick Whale who had the Brum Lotus dealership in the early 2000s?
