TVR Griffith 500

Hello guys,

Having a debate with the other half on the TVR Griffith 500 and thought I’d ask you guys for your opinion:

Does the TVR Griffith 500 look menacing or not??

Thanks,

I always thought most TVR’s that kind of age looked a bit girly as they were all curves

Probably the best ever looking TVR, imho.

Ade - most of the best loved classics of the last 70 years, which stand the test of time, have been curvaceously well balanced eg Bugatti, Jag, Aston, Ferrari etc etc. S1 Exige is perhaps the best tbough!

Thay corner menacingly

They sound great tho’

Yeah I love the looks of the Griff 500

you have a good point, I always wanted one but could never put up with the lack of reliability, had loads of friends that had TVR’s, the most reliable cars always seemed to be 450s not sure why

I too love the look of the Griff. My Father has a Chimera which I drove and it was pretty agricultural tbh.

In a way I have TVR to thank for getting an Exige. I ordered a Tamora when it was launched at the London Motorshow (ooops!) many moons ago. The spec date kept getting moved back and moved back and in the end I gave up and ordered a BMW Breadvan. Then I changed my order to a T350 when they launched that. Same thing happened and I bought the Exige. Fxxckers still have 1500 of my money…probably saved me a lot more than that in the long run by not taking delivery…plus it got me into an Exige

Not sure if the Griff 500 looks menacing. My neighbours got a Sagaris which does look a complete beast, especially with the 12" bore cans on the back.

He’s just had it sprayed in Lambo green which looks stunning. Sadly, like a pair of tarts we can’t have our cars out on the drive together. All I’ll say is that I painted mine green first

Thanks guys,

Ade - Your first thought was right - I’d say girly rather than menacing too

Agree on the Sagaris being a beast though Wes

Griff, no not for me.

It looked good in its day, but for me the years have not been too kind to it.

Any TVR is menacing - for your bank account

I had a 450 Chim for 10 years and the worst thing that went wrong in that time was the rocker cover gasket!!! Had the Exige 2 years now and hace deffo spent more money already! But wouldn’t go back!! Yet!!

(maybe when Sagaris’s are cheaper than Exiges   :astonished: )
