Tullet over the top manifold for Honda NA

Are Tullet still considered the best people to make me an over the top manifold for the honda engine?

I was going to get it done last year and everybody recommended Tullet, but circumstances transpired against me. I was wondering if they are still considered the best place to go, or if anybody has any other worthy contenders

Thanks

interested in this for mine too, dont know if s1 & s2 fitment would be different

Thought you were selling Miles ?

Don’t think you’ll go far wrong with a Link-Up over the top exhaust (which is made for them by Tullet).

If you go direct to Tullet, I don’t think you’ll be able to get the same exhaust (at least I wouldn’t think so)

Am I being thick, but can’t find a site for Link-Up parts or do I need to contact simon directly?

I had a chat with hofmanns as they’re local to me, and they use Simon’s gear.

I thought Eliseparts was the “official” retailer of “Link Up” these days via http://hondaelise.com/

Any of the authorised Link-Up dealers will be able to supply Link-Up parts… the parts will come from Eliseparts, but not sure you can order Link-Up bits from Eliseparts without being an authorised installer… the dealers such as Hoffmans/Maidstone order through them and obviously fit the parts for you.

Ah I get it all now, Simon’s tech, Tullets craft, eliseparts wholesaler then select a dealer to install.

Might see what Stephen at Track-Club can do then, as it’s going there to sort the ECU.

You may well need a mapping session to make the best of the over the top exhaust too I guess…

yeah the car needs mapping anyway, as cool as the flames are

Tullets are a thing of beauty

But if its not a Link-Up conversion won’t it have to go to Tullet anyways? I think Tullet will deal direct but as Dave says the result won’t be a Link-Up spec one which is of course a known (good) entity.

If I had the dosh I would love a Link-Up spec one coupled with Dr Scuffham to work his magic,…and CC of course if you’re going to that much trouble

I don’t think there’s anything to stop you buying a Link-Up exhaust if you don’t have a Link-Up conversion (although I guess depending on the engine position the fittings might no be spot on).

I would expect Link-Up to effectively own the Jig used by Tullets to make the manifolds so I doubt you could buy a Link-Up manifold direct from Tullets.

You’d either have to approach Link-Up or take your car into Tullets for a bespoke one to be made.

Don’t forget Simpson Exhausts [color:#FF0000]Simpson clicky[/color] either - they make some extremely nice stuff too…

When describing an “over the top” exhaust does that mean it goes over the engine?

It usually refers to converted cars with Honda engines - because the exhaust runs over the top of the subframe rather than under it.

Thanks Dave, I can’t get pics at the mo.

Not my photo and posted elsewhere on this board but explains “over the top” very well:

Much as the over the top exhaust looks good, Im sure the main benefit is less heat around the tripodes . .which if heat shielded should be OK anyhow …

Im sure Simon mentioned recently that the latest under the bottom versions were almost as close to the performance of the over the top ones these days … such is development …

DaveP is spot on though, your engine will be in a slightly different location no doubts and so some adjustment would be required and a new map for sure

Are they stil developing the Link Up kits? Is there any website (other than the Eliseparts one) to detail current/future developments.
