First mod was the fitting of new seats. My 240 came with touring pack, but with the non harness compliant Probax.
So, as I will be doing track days, I didn’t wish to take the risk of using the harnesses with these seats.
To be honest, I was way glad to get rid of them. They were way to noisy with squeeks.
So opted for the Tillet B5s. Fitment was very uninspiring, I can’t say I was impressed. However, I got them fitted, fixed, fixed passenger side, and adjustable Drivers. Stock belts retained. I actually fancy changing this, due to seat height. To get the slider to function, the seat has to be fixed on the highest point of the rail. There is a fixed rail, but it will not accept stock belts. So not sure how I am gonna achieve this, without having a rail designed.
Anyway, here are some not so great photos. Got a lot of plans for this car.
Had them in and out more times than I care to remember, getting everything to match up. Seats never came with any instructions, and several spacers for each hole.
Garage is not fully completed as you can see. Got a set of restoration ramps as you can see in the background. These will eventually take up one side of the garage, and all the rest of the junk will be based on shelfs and wall mounted.
Thanks guys for the comments. I’ve always wanted a garage to this standard. It has taken many many years, but finally just about there. Don’t wish to post what It has cost mind, to get It like this.
The floor was a concrete base, but a very poor one none the less. So I thought of all the options, and whether I should have the floor levelled. However came up with the Idea of laying OSB. Drilled that down into the concrete and the results were amazing. Totally flat floor, and well secure. I covered that with vinyl type material that was bought from Costco. It is garage specific. However, good that It is, I do not think It is necessarily the best stuff to lay on a garage floor. It will stand up to oil spills ect, but It is not that thick, so easily torn.
I’ll post some photos up when It is complete. I put some shelving stand units in that I got from Groupon, £29, which was a bargain as they are pretty solid and look the part. It is still a work in progress, but working away in Iraq 8 months of the year don’t leave a great deal of time for DIY and enjoying your hobby.
Exactly. It’s very durable. You see it a lot on construction sites, generally being used to fence of the site. It’s pretty cheap when comparing it with ply.
That lovely Basso Carbon bike in my Garage is for sale.lol
