I can’t disagree with your points/views there. I’ve seen one or two good conversions myself.
Whilst the standard Honda/Audi engines are pretty bullet proof, uprating them & putting the in a place they were never intended to go, with or without consideration for the set up of the car generally & by people with (probably) less time & (almost certainly) less skill than those world renown ride & handling boys at Lotus will result in varied results…
