TRD install

When I changed my filter yesterday I took a couple of pictues to show where you need to drill the airbox and the small piece of fibreglass I had to cut off as well

Ade, you dont need to drill the TRD box to install it… Instead just bend the mounting bracket behind to line up with the holes as its only made from thin gauge sheet. By bending the bracket it also moves the air box out slightly from the bulkhead so probably no need to cut the body work either…

Too late now i know and no real harm done but for anyone else installing a TRD box themselves take note…

But if you bend the bracket it then miss aligns the airbox with the throttle body, this is one reason why people say they don’t fit correctly.

I think it is one of the oil cooler pipes, but I must be honest I didn’t look that hard

So is it a noticeable difference ? throttle ? noise ?
