ive been on the net to see if i can get insured on a exige s2. my mum is going to be the main driver and im named driver ( alot cheaper) but she’l never drive it thats my job, got near the end and it said what tracker is fitted to your car if it has one, so does the exige have one or do you have to supply one yourself? sounds like they wont innsure me without a traker
Will your Mum really be the main driver? If not and it’s you doing most of the driving your insurance company will take a dim view, more than likely refusing to pay any claim!
Dude please dont take it the wrong way but if you cant afford to insure one you cant afford to run one. Not only that your not really insured, do you think the insurance company will pay out without asking questions? You may as well buy one and not insure it as thats exactly what your insurance will be worth.
Dont get me wrong we have all been there but we just waited until we could do it right way.
Like I said, being able to buy a car is one thing but running it is another, thats why I dont have a GT3 RS or Lambo in my garage. (as well as my exige obviously).

Like the guys say - you won’t be insured if you follow the route you propose. Insurance Companies are NOT daft, despite what you may hear “down the pub”.
ive changed things so im the main and only driver its only 600 more difference. im getting alot of inheritance money so buying one and running it wont be a problem. this is why i was planning on selling my clio trophy ready for the exige but now going to keep it and use exige on sunny days. think it would be a daft idea for me mum to be main driver, feel alittle stupid now being tight on insurence but spending 20k on a car. i thankyou youve put sence into my head, what was i thinking
