Got my first trackday on Monday at Bedford, and been so busy lately I totally forgot to check whether my S1 will pass noise tests. I’ve got a 190 upgrade and decat.
Is there anyone in the Surbiton area with a noise meter that would be able to help me check quickly? …what a rookie I am!

Put the cat on, it would fail otherwise - they are noise-testing all cars at the entrance to the circuit. My car emits 105db at 3/4 of the rev limiter without and 98 db with the cat.

Same spec as mine and with the CRP it is too noisy for Bedford.
If you get 2 balck flags its home time. They are very strict and not worth risking.

Am thankful to be in NZ… so long as you don’t take the piss and leave your headers open, they don’t bother with noise tests
Yup - you absolute need a silenced CAT pipe for Bedford - And while you may pass the static test the drive by will get you a flag for sure as they have noise meters linked direct to the noise police nerve centre
If I get my gearbox oil leak fixed this weekend I’ll see you there as well …
All, FYI I did the static test this afternoon and was 100db. Put the cat back in got me down to 87db. All ready for Bedford…can’t wait!

Any body used a “sports CAT” is it any noisier than regular CAT??
Is there any differance between the manufacturers?
