Trackday Driving - Cross post from PH

Interesting post over on PH - worth a watch and a read

Also startling proof on which TD organisers to avoid

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=18&t=973763&mid=0&nmt=How+not+to+drive+at+a+TD

Has also disolved any pre conceptions I have about Porsche owners

Good spot enjoyed reading / watching it.

The great thing I have enjoyed from the outset is that track days with Lotus drivers all seem to have a very high degree of mutual respect for each others ability and cars performance. Good work guys and girls and I know it will always be the same for those peeps on here…

If I ever went to a track day where that was going on, I would be off and out of the entire environment.

It’s not a bloody race!!! It’s good fun but that driving from both guys IMHO was just asking for a very expensive and probably injurious accident.

You should give a Goldtrack day a go

No thanks been there and got the dirty underpants to prove it :astonished:

As I’ve said before - stick with Bookatrack & LOT, & you won’t go far wrong

Not saying other TDOs are to be avoided, but with the above you can be sure to have a good day, with likeminded peeps.

That must have been an Ozzie driving the porker

Then again, nahh, he was breaking too early

I remember those wankers in the two Ferrari’s and a whole load of yellow duck tape.

Now that was funny, must have had way too much money, they didn’t even seem to are though…

I see JLeroux going for the jugular

Trackdays in NZ:

First one is onboard Paul’s Elise (my old car) with me in the Yellow Elise (my father’s car) having a play with each-other. Paul’s car is a lot quicker (more power and semi slicks), dad’s car is running worn, budget tyres and it shows.

More recent one, me on track in the Exige getting spanked by everything because it’s still on the run-in tune.
