Im thinking about getting an extra wheel/tyre set just for track use. Ive currently got toyos r1rs which are 205 fronts and 225 rears. Can you go much wider? it is worth it? and if it is worth it where would be the best place to get wider rims?
I don’t think you can go much wider unless you get into spacing etc. Max on front standard is 195 - you can get away with 205 in Toyo T1 R1 etc but not R888. Same again on the rear - think you can get away with 235 in winter/snow tyres.
Slicks come in 190 front and 230 rear but slicks are a whole different ballgame. Also remember tyre size changes will screw with the geo
195 fronts, 225 rears, plenty big enough (if you know what you are doing)

We have a few options for wider rims etc from the TD Prorace 1.2 throught to the 2010 cup forged 5 spokes

i can do a brand new set of MAK XLR’s in matt black or matt black with cut faces for �850 per set for toyota cars
They come complete with a set of new wheel bolts and lotus centres
fronts 7" (2mm wider track over oem)
rears 8" (6mm wider track over oem)
Im using them for racing no problems at all

Its a shame the 1.4G look a bit pap as they are great value for money. Any idea how much the scura/rgb wheels are?
