Just a quick one, has any1 ever had a sezied bolt, went to get the tracking done the other day and the bolt would not even move, they did try to put some heat onto it and that did not work, do u think i should take it into lotus to do or just cut the bolt and replace it which means removing the steering arm off.
Sounds nasty, my mechanic has some special snap on spanners for undoing those…
well least you know, think i may have to take it to lotus then.
Try freeze spray on the arm and heating the bolt - always works in my experience.

ok cool. will give that a mention when it gets done again. have you done it much ?
A large stillson wrench will easily remove a trackrod nut…
With or without any heat…
The tighter the nut the better for the stillson !!!
its the room thou, as well turning the night the rod seems to turn slightly with it
A few times.
