Track Driver magazine

Just got my latest free copy of Track Driver. I’ m increasingly impressed by it,especially now that Mark Hales has taken over as editor.
When I first started receiving it, I thought it was a bit amateurish both in appearance and content, although there was always something of interest. It’s been transformed in recent issues and, to me, seems a very slick operation. But I’m not sure I’d pay 4.75 for it. Anyone else get a copy and do you rate it?

Yes and I agree. The copy and the photography have both significantly improved of late. Also agree about the cover price…

I normally get it, but haven’t seem the latest one yet.

My postman seems to spend more time feeding my dogs, treats, than actually posting letters.

To be fair my dogs aren’t complaining.

Yeah it’s a nice mag but more a 2.95 than 4.95

Yep really good Mag here too and also noticed how much it’s improved. I have especially enjoyed reading the articles by Simon McBearth on Aerodymanics.

How’s your aerody-MANICs shaping up, Jonny?

Aka JFK

I agree it has been getting better and cant argue for free but a prime example in last months (i think) the one with the M5 wheel on the front it says the E39 M5 is a 4 litre V8 if i recall correctly which is a bit of a school boy error if you ask me.

Lol … This issue is next to my loo with those very pages open as I type !

Lol oops

Like it as well - but the ipad app has not been downloading the last 2 issues - anyone have the same problem?

Mark

Yes thought that odd too

Just reading the latest issue on the train and I’m impressed again. Genuinely interesting mix of car development articles/commentary, reviews and race reports etc. I look forward to this landing on my doormat these days :sunglasses:

Benjas got some mags, which he is reading on the train
He scans all the articles, his brow furrowed and in pain
Where does he start, hes getting in a state
There is so much to learn, for our balding mate

Track Drivers first, its driver coaching that he needs
An idea of the line, so he isnt blown into the weeds
Where to brake and how to turn are also on his list
So he isnt such a roadblock, always driving like hes pissed

A copy of Horse and Hound, is also in his bag
He thumbs through the thoroughbreds, inside this auspicious mag
He is still on the search, for his missing BHP
His technical understanding, isnt what it ort to be

Go fishing is his other read, and he scans it for new gear
The latest line of waders, is where his hard earned will disappear
Then when it starts to rain, and he leaves his windows down
He doesnt have to worry, that he bloody well might drown

PMSL

anyone need any odd jobs doing???..Sean has obviously got time on his hands…very good, made me smile

Sean’s magazine choice? We may as well be candid…
Mostly lots of pics,…and normally read one-handed
Not some fetish mag full o’ handcuffs and leather
Its the Demon Tweaks catalogue that has pages stuck together

LOL

Brilliant job, Sean
And Benja’s reply.

Made me smile on a dull Monday morning
