Track day Pack????

I’m trying to identify if my car has the track pack fitted, I bought it secondhand, and do not have the original receipt.

It seems to have a brace bar but it’s not attached to the gearbox. I thought that the Lotus brace bar attached to the gearbox? Maybe the brace that’s on my car is on everyones?

When I looked at the post about fitting the tubular exhaust I could not see a brace bar on one of the pics where you would expect to see it.

Also mine has the light weight wheels, t/c and leather seats but I cannot see any adjustment on the dampers.

It’s a bit weird, anyone got any ideas???

What year is your car and is NA or SC ?

When you say track pack do you mean performance pack (PP) ?

Mine has the PP and it came with non-adjust bilstein damper and twin oil coolers and harness holes in the seats.

Sorry should’ve said, 06 model SC. It’s got the performance pack but apparently there was a track pack available as well. Although I believe now it’s called something else or only available as separate options.

I’ve got an 06 Exige S that according to the original order form came wiht sport pack and super sport pack and according to the official options paperwork sports pack consists of
Traction control
Bilstein dampers & Eibach Springs
ProBax sports seats
Steel roll-over hoop
Super Sport Pack consisits of
1-way adjustable dampers
adjustable spring platforms
adjustable front anti-roll bar
brace arm
black finish 7 twin ultra lightweight alloy wheels

So would say quickest way to know if you got supersport pack is wheels and if front rollbar is adjustable.

with regard to the brace bar the Lotus one does not fit to the exhaust
This one http://www.sector111.com/products/performance/suspension/rtd2brace.cfm
attaches to the chassis

Hope this helps

When the guy bought mine he did not like the wheels so swapped them for the standard, nooooooooooooooooo.

Reason for all this is that I stupidly went and bought a brace bar from Forge which is similar to the Sector111 one but cheaper and then thought maybe I should’ve just made sure my car did not have one already. Stupid i know.

Think i’ll jack the car up tonight and take a look at the roll bar.

All supercharged cars have a brace bar. The new one you bought may have better (more robust) joints than what you’ve got, but depending how accurate you are when fitting you may need a geo done afterwards so i’d wait till the ones on your car go first.

Cheers Neil, makes sense now. Car could do with a geo check and the joints are the originals so may as well get it fitted. Thanks again.

Whilst your under there i’d fit the uprated engine mount bushes from powerflex (45) if you are going to be doing any serious trackwork. The engine can move about a bit otherwise as the oe mounts were specified for a more comfortable ride. The engine can move enough to break your exhaust (some cars in the US have caught fire from this) and knacker your wiring. It also makes the gearchange much better. I wouldn’t recommend for mainly road use though as they’ll vibrate the car a fair bit till they’re worn in. Eliseshop do some slightly softer ones for 3x the cost.

Fitting guide (but dont buy from as expensive) here:
