Track Day Insurance

Very interesting article in this month’s Circuit Driver, with information from a couple of the well known insurers.
Basically, pretending a car was smashed on the road, & not on track, is likely to see you in court for fraud, & it is VERY unlikely that your normal road ins will cover you on the Ring.

If you don’t already subscribe (I can recommend), Circuit Driver http://www.circuitdriver.com/ is now available at WH Smith

I think you will also find that your breakdown cover AA, RAC, GreenFlag etc… will not cover you within a 20 mile radius of ‘the ring’

That’s interesting, the AA have picked me up from circuits on numerous occasions (why I’m with them and not the RAC). What’s so different about the 'Ring?

Is a trackday ‘Motorsports’?? AA Flatbed Bloke seemed none too impressed when he picked me up a few weeks ago at North Weald. He did not say a word to me until we were North of Oxford (=2hours)

My imagination is running wild

ahhh customer service par excellence.

How dare you pay for breakdown assistance Ben and then use it

When I competed in a road going classes we used to specifically choose RAC because the are/were affiliated with the MSA and would pick you up from the paddock.
