Your bank balance
Hahaha yer that’s always a killer lol
torque down all the suspension points.
To be honest I just do the usual fluid checks, tyre-pressure etc. I always give the car a look over but to be honest I’m such a numpty it would have to be pretty bloody glaringly obvious for me to pick it up
The main thing I check is my diary to plan the next outing
So where did you go for your first trackday,…tell us more.
cough, wheelnuts too
Yeah I even have my own torque-wrench now for that
check this one I caught:
yep, fluids wheel torque and if your are not clueless numpty, make sure you have enough brake pads left for the day
Haha done all the brake pads and fluid before the last track day, so I’ll just torque everthing up and hope for the best lol.
Done the first one at bedford gt circuit and doing silverstone on Wednesday can’t wait just hope the rain holds off.
Thanks for advice guys
The more I fecked with my car I ended up checking everything! The last thing to rattle was the exhaust manifold, two bolts missing from the head after a morning session at Donny. By the end of that day, I spent 6 months with the wrench permanently set to Lucy…loosey left lol
Guys what’s the best oil for these cars !! I’m sure it’s been covered a million times but I can’t seem to work out how to use the search bar properly
I’m using Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40
I would always jack the car up and give each wheel a waggle at 12/6 and 9/3 o clock. Feel for the slighest play and movement. Yesterday it paid off for me as I found the passenger side, rear, upper ball joint bolts to the hub had come loose. Bit of thread lock and all is fixed. Last year found the inner tie link bolts had worked loose after installing new ones.
Thanks for the info guys really appreciate it, ordered that oil too wennbom so hopefully get that in this week
